Gaming supervisors take charge of gaming operations and workers in an assigned area. Circulating among the tables, they make sure that all stations and games are manned for each shift. It also is normal for supervisors to interpret the casino's operating policies for guests. Supervisors will also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have clear leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. They need these talents both to manage employees effectively and to greet bettors in order to establish return visits. Most casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor's degree. Despite their educational background, however, most supervisors gain experience in other betting occupations before moving into supervisory areas because an understanding of games and casino operations is essential for these staff.
